COURSES
Golden Hour is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to helping to improve upon already existing restoration projects. These projects are the cornerstone of our courses that also involve the following:

  • East Bay Restoration Course - A Restoration Ecology Primer
  • Oaks of California
  • Botany and Plant Identification Skills - East Bay, California
  • Ecological Site Assessment Training
  • Introduction to GPS and GIS methods
  • Introduction to Monitoring Methods and Rarity
  • An Environmental Education primer

Courses will cater to the education needs of college-level biologists and ecologists interested in learning about restoration ecology throughout the state of California. We expect that students have a certian level of basic education in biology and ecology, or that students have a willingness to learn throughout the course.

Lectures are supplemented with field work and course materials. Additionally, often courses include organized materials for the particular subject matter for a small printing fee.

Our course list is currently under construction, but includes plant ID courses, rare plant monitoring, and valley oak restoration basics. More information to come.
