Dear Friends and Partners,
We want to make restoration ecology accessible to all who are interested and dedicated to on-the-ground conservation and restoration work. We’ve assembled 10 weeks of course that will bridge anyone of biological inclination into an informed budding restoration ecologists with courses taught by some of the Bay Area’s best and brightest educators and practitioners. Courses will include an overview of Bay Area vegetation, rare ecosystems and habitats, restoration planning, laws and regulations, monitoring methods, site assessments and even a taste of grant-writing 101. The weekly Wednesday meetings at the Brower Center in Berkeley will allow for community based learning, anchored by presentations from some of the leading scientists and practitioners in the field. Course is limited to 15 and will be determined by applications received on the FCFS basis.
Full announcement and application is here – we’re so excited to be kicking this off!
Come join us on Feb 27th at 4pm of March 13th at 4pm at the Brower Center for an informational session on the newest and greatest Foundations in Restoration Course.
